A Samarpanam is a form of Hindu prayer and humble offering by means of surrendering and returning back to the owner.  It also a  form of devotion to the Lord and repayment of debt to purify oneself.

We were engaged to provide our Live Photography Services for the event at the Jubilee Hall which was a first for us. We did not know what to expect but here are some of the images we captured for the event.

It was our 2nd Military Wedding of the week and while the first one was a “top secret” mission,  (we could not publish the photos in our blog) here are some highlights of A Military Wedding Affair of Rodney & Nadia at The Shangri La. The lovely couple engaged our Live Photography Services for their grand affair and impressed the guests with instant photocards as soon as the photos were taken. Photos were also beamed live to 2 giant screens in the ballroom and everyone had their eyes peeled to the screens while being served. Special thanks to couple James & Melissa for their recommendation.

The National Museum hosted the Singapore Polo Club’s Annual Gala Dinner 2010 and it was a huge and grand affair filled with glitz and glamour of the who’s who in Singapore, Johor Royalty and even a special guest all the way from Argentina.

The special guest was none other than Nacho Figueras,  (pictured fourth from left with his lovely wife) the Argentine National Polo Captain and poster boy of Polo Ralph Lauren.

The Flashpixs Team were busy providing our Live Photography Services for the hollywood themed event but our photographer managed to capture Singapore’s very own Stefanie Sun with her stunning black dress in the crowd.

The Flashpixs Team were back in Sentosa this time at The Capella to celebrate The Wedding Affair of Ken & Jan as well as to provide our Live Photography Services for this joyous occasion. Photos were beamed Live to 2 mega screens in the grand ballroom as soon as it was taken as well as printed on site on photocards that brought huge smiles on the guests.

The affair lasted till 2 am in the morning and everyone had a ball of a time dancing the night away. The Team would love to congratulate Ken & Jan and wishes all the best in their journey as husband and wife.

Kevin Lester – Rockstar from yadin mohamed on Vimeo.

I have worked with Yadin Mohamed, a freelance videographer on a couple of video projects but the above MTV takes the cake. I was also fortunate to witness behind the scenes set ups and was blown away when Yadin did a minimalist setup for this video project.

The video was shot on a Canon 5D MK II on a 50mm f1.2 with available lighting and loads of planning. Yadin also took less than 4hours to edit the video as he had planned the shots for the final cut. Impressive!

The sun was setting in the background and the scene and atmosphere was picture perfect. Friends and relatives flew all the way from Sydney, Australia to witness the matrimonial vows of Derek & Jamie at the picturesque Serapong golf course, Sentosa.

The couple who met each other in Sydney made their guests break into tears of joy as they exchange their wedding vows and rings as well as the customary kiss.

The Flashpixs Team on the other hand provided our Live Photography Services for the event and impressed the guests with wallet sized photocards that were printed on site.

It was labelled the mega event of the year in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and The Flashpixs Team drove more than 400km with our cameras and equipment in tow to provide our Live Photography Service for this huge annual event.

More than 1000 people turned up for this event at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur and everyone was impressed by our instant photocards that were printed on site by our army of photographers.

Singapore comedians Suhaimi Yusoff & Mark Lee of Police & Thief (pictured below) fame opened the event with a mega entrance on two Harley Davidsons (which they rode into the hotel ballroom) and also tickled many funnybones with their wits and on stage antics.

Live performances by Singapore band Enigma (below) entertained the crowd throughout the night….

There were also 3 cars that were up for grabs for the lucky draw and this is the first time we saw all 3 cars right on stage for an event!! Below is the Top Lucky draw winner for the Perodua Alza.

2 years ago a friend introduced me to a girl who wanted to sell off her Nikon F55 film camera.

It wasn’t a fantastic camera but she said she needed the money. We met at Vivo City and the camera exchanged hands for $100.

I ask her what she needed the money for, and she told me she wanted to get a new tattoo.

I stared at her for awhile in disbelieve and left.

Bought a roll of fuji velvia 50 and took some shots while on a fishing trip off changi coast with some friends. Lucky for me the Singapore Airshow 2008 was going on and I managed some fly by shots.

Unlucky for me, the batteries went flat and I didnt finish the roll.

2 years later I remembered about the camera, bought new batteries and finished the remaining film.

Informed the lab to process normally but they cross processed it instead.
